Advanced Rollup

Block Group: Table Operations
Icon:no icon

The Advanced Rollup block returns a new table that contains one row for each date and time interval in the input table. It works like the Rollup block, but you can roll up several value columns, each with its own rollup method and output column name.

For information on using dataflow blocks, see Dataflow.

For answers to some common questions about working with tables, see Tables.

Input/Output Properties

The following properties of the Advanced Rollup block can take input and give output.

input receives the table in which you want to roll up values.

interval specifies the duration of the range to roll up. The default is Twenty minutes. interval can be one of the following:

dateColumn specifies the name of the table column that holds the dates. The input table is sorted by this column before rolling up. Rows whose date cannot be parsed are skipped.

roundTime specifies whether to force all intervals to start at a round number. See Rollup for details.

persistTs specifies whether to keep the time zone offset of the input timestamps in the output. See Rollup for details.

nestedData specifies whether to keep the original rows of each interval and store them in a new column named nestedData of the output table as nested tables. For more information about nested tables, see How do I view the data in nested tables?

valueColumn n specifies the name of an input table column that holds values to be rolled up. Every valueColumn n must be set to an existing column; otherwise the output is null.

valueRollup n specifies the type of rollup to use for valueColumn n. The default is Average. The options are the same as for the valueRollup property of the Rollup block: First, Last, Average, Sum, Max, Min, Count, Concat, Concat unique, and Median.

outColumn n specifies the output table column name for the rolled up valueColumn n values. If it is empty, the name of valueColumn n is used.

Output Property

The following property of the Advanced Rollup block can give output but cannot take input.

output returns the rolled up table.
